Fountain Art Gallery has moved within Chickasaw Oaks Village. We are now located in Suite 1, which is next to the South mall entrance. Our new space is larger and arranged a little differently from our old space. We have arranged it so that the downstairs serves as a showroom for all of our artists with each hanging 2-3 paintings and the upstairs houses our larger collection. Our Pottery Artist uses only the downstair area to show her beautiful pottery and wall hangings. We also show jewelry and sculpture made by two of our artists who also show paintings.

Our "Featured Artists" for February and March are Emaline Holleman, Joyce Petrina, Mike Taylor, and Judy Vandergrift. We are having a reception at the gallery Friday, February 1 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. We invite everyone who would like to see our new space and enjoy visiting with our artists to come.

Pictures from Featured Artist Priscilla Cunningham's reception, December 1, 2006.

Priscilla and husband Joe are all set for her art opening. Don't they make a cute couple.
Priscilla poses with her daughter Cathy, granddaughter Lucy, grandson's Jeffrey Jr. and Bedon. They all wanted to come and see their Mamma's paintings and of course eat.

Mary and Josie have been checking and sampling the food.

Andrea meets up with friends.

Andrea's husband, Tony is working his magic on his guitar playing a blue's song for the party.

Children and art are always a good mix. Andrea's daughter seems deep in thought.

Peggy and her friend Mary are checking things out.

Gerald and Joanne seem to be having fun.

Fountain Gallery Presents

"Travels Through Tuscany"

A Painting Exhibition by:
Priscilla Cunningham

December 1 - January 31, 2006

Opening Reception
Friday, December 1
5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

( Located inside:)
Chickasaw Oaks Village
3092 Poplar Ave, Ste 7
Memphis, TN 38111

If you’ve settled down to a quiet dinner in the Tuscan village of San Gimignano, walked the cobblestone streets of the Belgian village of Bruges on a blustery winter’s day, or even if you dream of exploring the hidden gems of Europe, you’ll be captivated by the Impressionist-inspired works of Priscilla Cunningham. Her travels across Europe and those of her family provide the subject matter and inspiration for her works in acrylic or oil. Landscapes, villages, Venetian city life, and Parisian streets are some of many scenes she’s brought to life.

Cunningham is the Featured Artist at Fountain Art Gallery in Chickasaw Oaks Village (3092 Poplar Street, Suite 7; 901-458-7100). Some of her most intriguing works are done as diptychs or triptychs. Here, a scene is painted on two or three canvases, bringing a stunning presentation to large rooms or corporate settings with enough size to exhibit the work appropriately. Her commission practice is equally popular for décor meant to be distinctive and memorable. Here she reviews photographs from a client, as well as receives direction regarding the dimensions of the requested work. These commissions are rooted in the dialogue and images from her customer, and yet they are unique pieces of art reflecting both the wishes of a traveler and the inspiration of the artist.

Cunningham is currently President of Fountain Art Gallery. Here you’ll find works from seventeen of the best artists in Memphis, a broad spectrum of styles and media to choose from. Her work is also available locally at Palladio Art & Antiques (2169 Central Avenue, 901-276-3808). Many collectors return again and again to Palladio when Cunningham brings new canvases in, which she does monthly. With the holidays fast approaching, now is the perfect time to add an original work of art to your home or business.
